Vacationing in Hawai'i

The vacationing with the family has been the highlight of my travels.  I am grateful to my 28 year old daughter who purchase four plane tickets. One for my husband, my grandson, myself and her.  My middle child purchase his own ticket.  Hawai'i is everything you dreamed it would be. We were in Waikiki Beach, which is know for the party city. The ocean and beach was breath taking.

The Sun was warm and he evening cool.  The people was at ease and carefree, unlike the hustle and bustle of Chicago. The Embassy Suite were so accommodating with the hospitality of the great customer service.  They helped us books our outing on the duck boat, which toured the city and Honolulu on the streets then it went straight into the ocean, amazing. We past by the channel in which Gilligan's Island was filmed. (One of my favorite shows from the 70's).  And also past by the hotel that  Hawaii Five-O was filmed.  The island has so much history. Seeing the superstition of the island and going the areas where past  Kings walked and lived.

Another day we went to Pearl Harbor and watched a film, in which every student and american citizen should watch.  I have a better appreciation of our soldiers and vets.  I salute you all!!.

Then on our final day we went to the Chief Laui, yes and authentic laui! The son dance on stage with the hula girls, the Chief showed us how to make fire with sticks, and I tasted poi, ugh!

There is more to come. Just wanted to share some hightlights of our trip.
